Ryan Walker is a seasoned corporate communications veteran with extensive experience across the public relations and advertising industries. He has represented both large and small clients in the technology, investment research, commercial real estate, investment banking, fintech, commercial lending, venture capital, and non-profit sectors.
Most recently, Ryan served in Edelman New York’s Financial Communications practice where he advised clients on strategic timing of announcements, regulations, content creation and media relations. Prior to joining Edelman, Ryan worked for M Booth & Associates’ corporate communications practice, where he specialized in drafting and executing research projects for the agency’s largest client, American Express. For American Express, he also led thought leadership and executive visibility projects, including planning and executing panel events and executive bylines. Additionally, he also led media relations activities for American Express’ advocacy efforts around the benefits of exporting for small businesses.
Aside from his work in the corporate practice, Ryan also developed and led the Reputation Management offering for M Booth, where he helped counsel clients on privacy and security violations, protests, and product malfunctions, among others.
In addition to his experience at M Booth, Ryan earned his MBA from Babson College in 2015. Prior to attending Babson, Ryan worked in Edelman New York’s tech practice where he focused on executive visibility and media relations for Juniper Networks and Canon. During his time at Babson, Ryan also worked in Edelman New York’s management consulting practice.
Outside of his communications experience, Ryan is the president and co-founder of the Bayonne Civic League – a local non-profit. He is a 2009 graduate of The University of Vermont, and lives in New Jersey with his wife Stephanie, son Frankie, and dog Millie.
